Late yesterday night (Thursday), an elderly couple and a woman were successfully freed from a blazing three-story townhouse in a housing estate in Bangkok’s Lat Phrao district.
When they received word that one of the townhouses was on fire, fire crews and emergency medical personnel hurried to the Amornphand housing complex in Soi 84 off Chokchai 4 Road.
When they arrived on the scene, they observed three individuals on the second story attempting to leave through the balcony but being blocked from doing so by an iron grille. The entranceway was shut and secured.
However, emergency personnel were able to cut through the grille and rescue all three of them.
According to reports, the three admitted to Chok Chai police that they were asleep when the fire started and that they were unsure of its origin.
