BA Upgrade their Club suite

British Airways will start the B787-8 aircraft’s Club Suite refurbishment.

British Airways has announced the next phase of the Club Suite’s rollout, with the company’s B787-8 aircraft expected to get the product this year.

In addition to taking delivery of new A350 and B787-10 aircraft with the suite, BA unveiled the Club Suite in 2019 and has been gradually upgrading existing B777 aircraft.

When we last provided an update on the rollout in late 2021, there was no information available regarding when the carrier’s fleet of 12 B787-8 aircraft might receive the Club Suite. However, this week, BA confirmed in social media posts that the Dreamliner would be the “next in line” to receive the retrofit.

Later this year, guests will be able to enjoy the Club Suite aboard modified B787-8 aircraft. The airline also stated: “We are committed to introducing our highly acclaimed Club Suite, and we’re thrilled that our Boeing 787-8 aircraft is next in line for a refurbishment, enabling our passengers to enjoy our most recent business class offering to even more locations across our network.”

Additionally, BA operates a fleet of 18 B787-9 aircraft, which will eventually be equipped with the Club Suite as well.

Numerous articles in Business Traveller have been written about the British Airways Club Suite, which has a sliding door, 40% more storage, a 1-2-1 layout, and direct aisle access for all passengers.
