Bridge Collapse on Rama II Road Kills at Least Four, Injures Many

A bridge under construction on Rama II Road in Bangkok’s Chom Thong district collapsed early this morning, leaving at least four dead and multiple others injured. The incident occurred around 1:48 AM near Soi 17 and Soi 25.

Fire and rescue teams quickly responded, evacuating dozens of people from the scene, including some who were stranded on cranes.

According to JS 100 Traffic Radio, a concrete beam under construction—located approximately 200 meters from an expressway entrance—gave way, crashing onto an existing expressway structure.

Several workers were on-site at the time of the collapse.

To support rescue operations, authorities have closed all traffic in the area, including access to the Dao Khanong Expressway.
