This medical establishment was discovered to be operating illegally, according to data from the Ministry of Public Health’s Department of Health Service Support. The attending doctor did not possess a current license to practice medicine.
It was discovered throughout the search that the clinic only serves international customers. A woman from Myanmar named Ms. El Mon (last name withheld) identified herself as the clinic’s attending physician. She was in charge of doing customer examinations and injecting vitamins for skin care.
She said she had graduated from a medical school in Myanmar with a degree in medicine and had been given the opportunity to work part-time at this hospital. Ms. El Mon put in about a month’s worth of work, earning 2,000 Baht per hour.
She didn’t have a Thai medical license; she only had a work permission to manage. She was therefore accused by the law of practicing medicine without a license and engaging in an illegal profession. 51 more goods were also seized by authorities, including 12 medical devices, 23 unlicensed pharmaceuticals, and 16 cosmetics. The seized goods are worth more than 5 million baht in total.
A Chinese national serves as the company’s director at C COCO Beauty Clinic. It has branches in 15 different nations, including China, Japan, the United Kingdom, and Australia, and has been operating in Thailand under the name CCOCO BEAUTY for about 9 months.
Thai citizens are not treated at the clinic; all foreign patients are.The business leverages well-known influencers to enhance its public relations while also using online media to advertise its services. Authorities will compile evidence and summon the Chinese owner to provide additional testimony regarding the accusations.
