July 15 — Update on the transnational call center gang case:
In the early hours of today, cyber police led by Police General Thatchai Pitanilaabut, National Police Inspector General, and Police Lieutenant General Trairong Phiwpan, Commander of the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD), executed court warrants to raid 7 locations nationwide. These cover areas in Bangkok and Sa Kaeo Province, targeting the network of Kok An, a senator and close associate of Samdech Hun Sen, President of the Senate and former Prime Minister of Cambodia.

This operation follows the Criminal Court’s approval of additional arrest warrants for key persons in the network: Juree Klongkijkon, Phuchae Lin Klongkijkon, and Kittisak Klongkijkon. All three are children of Kok An and are suspected of involvement in a transnational criminal organization.

The search targets include residences in Aranyaprathet District, residences in Ta Phraya District of Sa Kaeo Province, as well as residences and companies in the areas of Prawet, Bang Phlat, and Sathorn Districts in Bangkok.

This operation expands on previous raids at 19 locations, where assets worth over 1.17 billion baht were seized on July 8.

Additionally, the TCSD has coordinated with the Department of Provincial Administration to investigate irregularities in the identity cards of the three individuals, suspecting illegal use or identity fraud.

This afternoon, Police General Thatchai and Police Lieutenant General Trairong will meet with officials from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to further the investigation and prepare to request Interpol Red Notices to track down the suspects.
