Family Feud Over Inheritance Sparks Public Dispute and Online Attention
A heated family feud has spilled into the public eye after a 48-year-old woman, Phattharaporn, stepped forward to address serious accusations made by her 24-year-old stepson, Phuwat “Joe”, in a televised interview that gained widespread online traction.
Joe had claimed on a popular TV program that his stepmother, step-siblings, and even the police had conspired to frame him with drug charges in order to take control of inheritance assets worth over one million baht and gold jewelry totaling five baht. The allegations quickly drew public sympathy and online attention.
🔍 Stepmother Speaks Out
In response, Phattharaporn publicly shared her side of the story on April 8, saying she had been unfairly portrayed and felt compelled to clarify the facts.
She recounted:
- Moving into the family home in 2004 after Joe’s father separated from Joe’s mother
- Living there with Joe’s grandparents, his elder brother, and her own partner
- Eventually leaving due to relationship issues but maintaining close ties to the family
When Joe’s grandmother fell ill, she allegedly asked Phattharaporn to manage the inheritance, as Joe was incarcerated and her own son was underage.
💸 Inheritance, Support, and Disputes
After Joe’s release from prison, Phattharaporn:
- Sold his father’s car, using the funds to buy him a motorcycle, a mobile phone, and leave him with startup capital
- Claimed Joe didn’t use this support to start a stable life and was imprisoned again
Following his second release, Joe returned asking for more financial support. Phattharaporn offered to mortgage the house, then transferred estate management to Joe.
Joe reportedly received 3.5 million baht (approx. US$101,270) in two rounds of mortgaging, while additional funds were used for home improvements.
The property remains unsold, allegedly due to an inflated valuation of 37 million baht (US$1,070,600).
😠 Accusations and Speculation
Phattharaporn expressed confusion over Joe’s public accusations, speculating he may have already spent the money and could be influenced by others hoping to gain from a future house sale.
She also noted:
- Joe contacted her after the interview, acting friendly and asking for help to locate a missing gun
- Despite portraying himself as unable to handle daily tasks, Joe is now able to livestream for hours, raising questions about potential manipulation by others
🧩 Ongoing Drama
Phattharaporn concluded by urging Joe to let go of negative thoughts and denied any conspiracy to harm him. She shared her side not to escalate the feud, but to provide clarity as online narratives spiral.
With both sides making emotional and conflicting claims, and significant money at stake, the dispute appears far from over.
