- The tourists, Maria Abaca and Linda Raterro, were reported missing by the Italian Embassy in Bangkok, triggering an immediate search operation.
- Despite heavy rain delaying rescue efforts, the women were able to send their location to responders.
- After a three-hour search, involving tourist police, rangers, and volunteers, both women were found safe and unharmed.
