The Hunt for the Crypto King Ep:3 was a large operation carried out by the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB), which resulted in the search of two opulent residences in the heart of Bangkok. The operation, which took place today, was managed by police officers, including Assistant Division Commander Amnaj Traipoj and his group. More than 300 million baht ($8.7 million) in property and potential evidence were seized as a result of the investigation.
Under the authority of the court order number 505/2566 issued on Monday, a three-story home with a market value of 45 million baht was thoroughly examined at the first location in Saphan Sung district. In the course of their investigation, the team came across a large number of important case-related documents, a military-style uniform bearing the name “Sompong Su,” and pictures of a man in a similar uniform honoring his graduation from a defensive reserve force course. The home’s owner, Su Pheng Fei, also known as Sompong Su, was identified as a Chinese guy by the property maintenance workers.
In addition, two land title papers, one safe, eight condo units from the One Nine Five Asoke-Rama 9 project, automobiles including a white Toyota Alphard with license plate “909 BKK” and a black Toyota REVO with red plates “4605 BKK,” as well as other items worth around 300 million baht, according to KhaoSod, were seized. Sompong may be connected to the case. The officer thought that the company Xin Rui Technology had purchased these properties using funds obtained through fraud.
The company, which has a registered capital of 49.5 million baht, was established as a real estate and real estate consulting business on October 26, 2022. The money raised from selling these items at auction will be used by the authorities to recompense the victims. The police will summon Sompong to provide an explanation for how he came to own these properties while they continue to gather evidence and witnesses.According to court arrest warrants numbers 1665-1666/2566 issued on May 26, the operation stems from the Trust No One Crypto King world chase Ep:1 and Ep:2 operations that resulted in a search of six points in the Sri Nakarin region and the capture of Sausian Su, 31, Ki Yi Yee, 25, and Kamheng Chuenmontri, a national of Laos.
They were all accused with fraud and money laundering. The trio deceived victims using elaborate social media personas and convinced them to invest in phony cryptocurrency trading platforms, resulting in losses of over 35 million baht that are connected to Sompong.
