Unidentified man passes away after falling into a 15-metre-deep tube well located on a road divider in Bangkok’s Lat Phrao district on Friday.
Police received reports from city inspectors witnessing the man falling into the well at Soi Lat Phrao 49. The incident was reported at 11:13 am, prompting the immediate dispatch of rescue workers to the scene. Both inbound and outbound lanes of the road were closed off by the authorities for safety measures.
By 12:10 pm, the man was successfully retrieved, but unfortunately, he was pronounced deceased by the medics on site.
Reports suggest that the victim accidentally fell into the tube well while crossing the road, as the wooden cover of the Metropolitan Electricity Authority’s well gave way beneath him, leading to the tragic incident.
