Six Vietnamese found dead at a hotel on Ratchaprasong

Six individuals perished due to poisoning at a Bangkok hotel on Tuesday evening.

Authorities in Lumpini were summoned to the scene at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel in Pathum Wan district at around 5:30 pm.

Upon arrival, officers discovered three men and three women deceased in a room, without any signs of a struggle. Their belongings were located near the entrance.

Police were reviewing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage and interviewing witnesses for potential leads.

The deceased were confirmed as two Vietnamese citizens holding US citizenship and four Vietnamese nationals.

No physical injuries were evident on their bodies, and the cause of death was determined to be poisoning.

Nonetheless, it remains uncertain whether the individuals ingested the poison voluntarily or were administered it.

Additional information was not provided at this time.

Initial reports from the media incorrectly stated that six Vietnamese individuals were killed in a shootout.
