Thailand now has 61.2 million internet users, a growth of 13.7 million users in just five years. Facebook and Line are the most popular social media platforms, with 52.3 million members apiece.

The average 12.4% annual growth in online advertising spending over the past five years, compared to a 3% annual loss in traditional advertising, shows that various businesses are increasingly prioritizing online media.

The expansion of private sector service providers’ nationwide reach and government initiatives to increase internet accessibility since 2019 are credited with the rise in internet usage.
