Two Teens Arrested for Fatal Shooting in Bangkok

BANGKOK — Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 34-year-old man in the Soi Nuanchan 22 area of Bangkok on May 3. The suspects, aged 19 and 17, opened fire on the victim from a red PCX motorcycle without a license plate, discharging approximately 15 shots before fleeing the scene.

On May 6, Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom announced the arrests of Chanithphon (Chef) and his accomplice. They face charges of premeditated murder, illegal possession of firearms, and unlawful discharge of a firearm in a public area. Arrest warrants were issued by the Criminal Court on May 4.

Following the shooting, the suspects fled to a friend’s condominium in the Kilometre 8 area to change clothes. They were then driven to Rama 2 before escaping to Hat Yai district, Songkhla province, to evade capture.

The victim, identified as a man with a criminal history, was shot nine times, including once in the head. Authorities have confirmed that both suspects are now in police custody, and further investigations are ongoing.
