233 People were killed in a train crash in India

According to a government official, two passenger trains collided in India’s Odisha state on Saturday, resulting in at least 233 fatalities and 900 injuries, making it the deadliest rail tragedy to hit the nation in more than ten years.

Pradeep Jena, the state’s chief secretary, posted on Twitter that the number of fatalities from Friday’s crash is anticipated to climb.

He continued by saying that in addition to the 80 doctors who were already on the scene, over 200 ambulances and extra doctors had been dispatched to the accident site in the Balasore district of Odisha.
