Bangkok, which is well-known for its vibrant street life, cuisine, and cultural wonders like the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, is more reasonably priced than other cities in the top 20.
The city offers a variety of shopping options, from upscale malls to cheap street markets. The city acts as a gateway to other regions of Thailand, including the beaches of Phuket, Koh Samui, and Pattaya, and is known for its thriving nightlife and delicious street cuisine.
According to data gathered by Hong Kong-based Klook Travel, the number of foreign travelers using its platform to schedule activities in Thailand increased by 1,200% in the first five months of 2023 compared to the same period in 2018.
The majority of tourists who sign up for activities in Thailand are from Hong Kong, followed by Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea, and Malaysia. The most popular activities include day trips, sightseeing, and spa visits.
