PATTAYA Group, a well-known and established entity in the aviation industry, has launched “PATTAYA Airways” to cater to international air cargo services. This move aligns with the growth trends in the logistics and e-commerce sectors, ensuring the provision of contemporary and efficient air transport in the region. The airline is led by Mr. Tosaporn Asunee, Chairman of the PATTAYA Group, and Mr. Nat Boonyavichkanont, Chief Executive Officer. They received the Air Operating License (AOL) from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand on September 18, 2023 and plan to commence operations in the fourth quarter of 2024.
According to Mr. Tosaporn Asunee, “Given our primary focus on the aviation sector, both passenger and cargo, we see a rising demand for air transportation services as the post-Covid situation stabilizes. The industry is bouncing back and the demand is increasing rapidly. Currently, demand outpaces supply. Recognizing this opportunity for expansion, we decided to venture into the airline business with ‘PATTAYA Airways’, primarily targeting international customers in the Asian region with plans to expand into other regions in the foreseeable future.”
PATTAYA Airways takes pride in offering a comprehensive air transport service with a strong focus on safety, including aviation, personnel, and timely delivery. The airline has established international routes through collaborations with B2B partners and aims to expand into ASEAN countries using the ATR72 Series aircraft. Backed by the extensive operations of the PATTAYA Group, which includes top-tier air freight services in Thailand and innovative technologies from expert subsidiaries, PATTAYA Airways is confident in its enduring aviation capabilities.
The company also plans to expand its fleet by adding three more aircraft between 2026-2028 to meet the growing demand stemming from the continuously booming e-commerce sector. Their aspiration is to become leaders in providing quality air cargo services and connecting businesses across regions and internationally.
