Kenyan national airline, Kenya Airways (KQ), has resumed its flights between Nairobi (NBO) and Bangkok (BKK) after a three-year hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The restarted route, using Boeing 787-8 aircraft, will operate five times a week and include connections to Guangzhou Baiyun Airport (CAN).
This reintroduction of the Nairobi-Bangkok route increases Kenya Airways’ number of destinations to 42, enabling more connections between Africa and Southeast Asia. Julius Thairu, Kenya Airways’ Chief Commercial and Customer Officer, expressed pride in the airline’s proactive approach to expanding international routes and highlighted the opportunity for passengers to embrace enriching travel experiences.
Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, was the most visited city in 2019 and remained highly popular in 2023 with 22.78 million visitors, according to Travelness.com.
