Thai Boys Arrested After Posting Murder Video on Social Media

Police have arrested two 14-year-old Thai boys who filmed themselves murdering a 33-year-old man in a rubber plantation in Trang and then posted the disturbing footage on social media.

Shocking Crime Uncovered

The brutal killing was first reported by Esor News on March 25. According to the report, the teenage suspects sought revenge against the victim and recorded the fatal shooting, later sharing it on an Instagram story.

The video showed the lifeless body of the victim, who was wearing a purple shirt and blue trousers. The disturbing clip was captioned, “Killed one.” The news page confirmed that the original footage was uncensored, but its administrator later added a “censored” mark before sharing it publicly.

The identities of the two suspects were revealed in the comments section of the report. The page justified this by stating that the severity of their crime warranted exposure, though they remain legally protected under Thailand’s Child Protection Act.

Arrest and Investigation

Shortly after the video went viral, authorities arrested both teenagers. Their full identities have not been disclosed due to their juvenile status.

According to Workpoint News, the victim was identified as Rungrueang Nakwong, a 33-year-old Thai man. His body was discovered by a local mushroom collector in the rubber plantation at approximately 8:30 AM on March 25.

An initial examination revealed that Rungrueang had suffered two gunshot wounds near his left ear, and four bullet casings were recovered at the scene.

Police continue to investigate the motive behind the attack while legal proceedings against the suspects move forward.
