Ambulance Overturns After Collision With Sedan in Phetchaburi, Two Injured
PHETCHABURI, Thailand – April 18, 2025 — An ambulance on an emergency call overturned after being struck by a sedan at a three-way intersection in Muang district’s Rai Som subdistrict, leaving two medical personnel injured.
The accident occurred just after midnight. According to local police and rescue officials from Sawang Sanphet Thammasathan Foundation, the Kaeng Krachan Hospital ambulance was found tipped on its side, while a white sedan had severe front-end damage.
The ambulance driver and an accompanying nurse were taken to a hospital for treatment. The 27-year-old sedan driver, Itthipon Meenam, admitted he failed to take caution while turning, which led to the collision. Authorities have confirmed that he will be charged with reckless driving.
The ambulance was en route to pick up a patient at the time of the crash but was unable to complete the mission due to the accident.
