Singapore Airlines will reward its employees with a profit-sharing bonus equivalent to more than seven months’ salary after reporting a full-year net income of S$2.78 billion (approximately 71 billion baht), surpassing analyst expectations.
Employees are slated to receive a bonus amounting to 7.45 months’ worth of pay, which is lower than the 7.94 months awarded last year, according to a statement from the airline cited by the Straits Times on Thursday.
The reduced bonus payout comes amid warnings from Singapore Airlines that increased tariffs, trade tensions, and broader economic and geopolitical uncertainties could potentially impact demand for both passenger and cargo flights.
