Really Cool Airlines (LUV) has revealed plans to start flights connecting Bangkok Suvarnabhumi and Tokyo Narita in early 2026, pushing back its initial launch date by nearly a year.
CEO Patee Sarasin cited difficulties in securing aircraft as the main reason for the delay, according to a July 15 report from Japanese aviation news outlet sky-budget. While acknowledging that the launch had been “significantly delayed,” he assured that there are no major alterations to the airline’s original business plan.
The airline is reportedly in discussions with officials at both Narita and Sapporo Chitose airports. Sky-budget noted that Really Cool Airlines remains committed to its full-service startup plans despite the postponement.
