Bang Na, Laem Chabang, and Phuket in Bangkok were extremely hot on Friday.

The Meteorological Department issued a warning today stating that dangerously high heat indices would be exceeded tomorrow (Friday) in Phuket, Laem Chabang, and Bangkok’s Bang Na district.

According to the department, prolonged exposure to such high temperatures can cause heat exhaustion, cramps in the shoulders, legs, and stomach, as well as heat stroke.

The temperatures are expected to reach 48.1°C and 44.5°C, respectively, in the Maha Sarakham district of Kosum Phisai and Phetchabun in the North.

When relative humidity and air temperature are combined, the result is the heat index, commonly referred to as “apparent temperature” or “body temperature.” For the human body’s comfort, this has significant ramifications.
