The Immigration Bureau searched places from Soi Chan 16 to Soi Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra 14 in response to reports that migrant laborers had moved in and established food booths there, according to the department’s director general, Phairoj Chotikasatien. He added that the purpose of the inspection was to make sure that migrant workers were lawfully residing in Thailand and weren’t working in professions and occupations that were only open to Thai citizens.
