BLACKPINK’s Lisa is set to make her acting debut in the upcoming third season of HBO’s popular series “The White Lotus”, becoming the second member of the K-pop group to appear on the network. She will be credited under her full name, Lalisa Manobal. While her role in the show has not been revealed, it will mark her first venture into acting.
Production for season 3 of “The White Lotus” is scheduled to commence in February, taking place in Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok, Thailand, according to Variety. Additionally, all four members of BLACKPINK have recently extended their contracts with YG Entertainment Inc. in December, leading to a significant increase in the company’s shares.
Jennie, another member of BLACKPINK, made her appearance in the HBO drama “The Idol” in 2023, where she was credited as Jennie Ruby Jane. Earlier this year, BLACKPINK achieved a Guinness World Record for having the most-viewed music channel on YouTube, amassing over 90 million subscribers.
