Bolt Introduces Thailand’s First Flight-Tracking Ride-Hailing Feature

BANGKOK, Thailand – Bolt has become the first ride-hailing platform in Thailand to launch Flight Tracking for Scheduled Rides, offering a smoother and more convenient airport transfer experience. This innovative feature is now available at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), Don Mueang (DMK), and Phuket International Airport (HKT).

A Smarter Airport Transfer Solution

With this new feature, passengers can sync their flight details with the Bolt app, allowing automatic adjustments in case of flight delays or cancellations. If a flight is delayed, the pick-up time is updated accordingly. If a flight is canceled, the system automatically cancels the ride at no extra cost—eliminating the hassle of last-minute rebookings.

According to the National Economic and Social Development Council, Thailand is expected to welcome 38 million foreign tourists in 2025, further cementing its status as a global travel hub. In 2024, Suvarnabhumi Airport alone handled over 60 million passengers, making seamless airport transfers a critical need. With frequent flight delays—especially during the rainy season (May to October)—Bolt’s Flight Tracking service offers a timely solution.

Bolt’s Commitment to Hassle-Free Travel

Nathadon Suksiritarnan, Country Manager at Bolt Thailand, emphasized the company’s goal of making airport transportation stress-free:

“Thailand’s airports are among the busiest in the world, and we know how stressful it can be to land and find transport—especially when plans change unexpectedly. With Bolt’s new Flight Tracking for Scheduled Rides, customers can book their ride in advance with peace of mind, knowing that if their flight is delayed, their driver will still be there, ready to pick them up when they land. As the first and only ride-hailing platform in Thailand to offer this feature, we are committed to making travel more seamless, reliable, and stress-free for both locals and visitors.”

How It Works:

  1. Tap the ‘Schedule’ button in the Bolt app and enter the pick-up location (airport) and destination.
  2. Select ‘Add flight details’ and input the flight number, airline, landing date, or departure city.
  3. Choose how long after landing the pick-up should occur.
  4. Bolt automatically updates the ride based on real-time flight status.

This feature ensures that passengers landing at BKK, DMK, or HKT no longer have to worry about finding a ride if their flight schedule changes.

Flexible Booking Options

Schedule rides up to 90 days in advance or as little as 30 minutes before departure.
Real-time updates ensure drivers stay informed of flight delays.
Dedicated pick-up zones and in-app guidance improve airport navigation.

Bolt’s Global Expansion in Airport Services

Bolt continues to enhance its airport service offerings worldwide, now operating in over 30 international airports. With features like dedicated pick-up zones, seamless travel integration, and in-app guidance, the company is redefining airport transportation for travelers everywhere.
