Business Jet Demand Surges Across AsiaBusiness Jet Demand Surges Across Asia

Business jet usage is surging across Thailand and Southeast Asia as disruptions to commercial flights and growing international business activity drive demand. Wealthy individuals and companies are increasingly turning to private aviation for efficiency, flexibility and global connectivity.

The global market, valued at US$20.8 billion in 2024, is projected to reach $29.8 billion by 2033, with Asia-Pacific expected to grow around 5% annually. Thailand alone has about 45 business jets, supported by expanding aviation infrastructure and rising foreign investment.

Demand is also being fuelled by a growing number of ultra-wealthy individuals, many of whom view private jets as essential business tools. Charter services and fractional ownership are gaining popularity, often serving as a pathway to full ownership.

Manufacturers are responding with larger, long-range aircraft such as the Gulfstream G700 and Dassault Falcon 10X, designed for non-stop intercontinental travel and higher passenger capacity—particularly suited to Asia’s family-led businesses.

Despite strong growth, the region remains underpenetrated, accounting for only 7% of the global fleet, indicating significant long-term potential.
