Cathay Pacific is set to introduce a new premium economy product, marking the airline’s third generation of this class. CEO Ronald Lam confirmed that the revamped premium economy seats will be featured on the redesigned Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, expected to debut by mid-year.
This comes alongside the introduction of Aria business class suites with sliding doors on the 777s and Halo first class suites on the delayed Boeing 777-9 fleet in 2025. Cathay Pacific aims to regain its pre-pandemic strength, with a focus on the Greater Bay Area and the potential opening of new lounges after Terminal 2 reopens.
