When a Chinese woman rode 4,000 kilometers by bicycle from China to Thailand to train with renowned Muay Thai boxer Sombat “Buakaw” Banchamek, the story became viral on the Chinese social media site Weibo.
As evidenced by the instance of an American adolescent, muay thai has recently caught the interest of those outside of Thailand.
The adolescent American lad declared on his Instagram account, @reed_harringron23, that once he reached the coveted 200,000 followers, he would carry out a duty recommended by one of his fans.
Once the teenage guy met the target, he was invited to train Muay Thai in Thailand, win a competition in the Land of Smiles, and then return to the US to compete in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) by the follower who received the most likes for a suggested job.
The boy’s tweet was remarked upon by Muay Thai celebrity Buakaw, who offered to look after him while he trained in Thailand. Now, the child is trying to raise money for his Thailand tickets.
Li Zhenxiang, a 33-year-old Chinese lady, announced on social media that she was committing to training in Muay Thai after the challenge went viral.

Cycling obstacle
Li disclosed that she intended to train for five to six Muay Thai tournaments over the course of forty days by bicycle from Muanyang City, Sichuan province, to Chaing Mai province, northern Thailand. She also intended to train boxing techniques with Buakaw and locate a Muay Thai gym in Bangkok.
Li stated that she enjoys martial arts, particularly Muay Thai, in an interview with the Chinese news outlet Chengdu Daily Star News. Three years ago, the movie Million Dollar Baby sparked her enthusiasm with this medium.
“I’m going to ride my bicycle alone to my destination in Thailand this time. I’m sure that the weather, language obstacles, diverse lifestyles, and rigorous training will present challenges.
Three days ago, Buakaw posted her account on Facebook.
“Let’s lift her spirits! As gracious hosts, do not be reluctant to greet her with a smile. She is welcome to join the Muay Thai enthusiasts. The fact that outsiders find the national martial art of Muay Thai fascinating should make us proud.
In addition, Buakaw expressed his happiness at the two foreigners joining his Muay Thai training and his anticipation of seeing them.
