Dior has once again unveiled a divine-level collectible — this time through a special collaboration between Miss Dior and renowned feminist artist Judy Chicago. The result? A classic perfume bottle transformed into a work of art, serving as a powerful statement on womanhood. Only one piece is available in Thailand, and just 25 were made worldwide, priced at 594,000 baht.
The design is striking: Judy Chicago incorporates motifs from her iconic artwork The Dinner Party onto a couture trunk that houses the perfume. The interior is lined with deep red velvet, while the exterior features vibrant blue floral patterns, crafted by Italian artisans through a meticulous 14-step process.
As for the scent, master perfumer Francis Kurkdjian created an exclusive fragrance that blends Italian mandarin essence with jasmine sambac absolute — fresh, vibrant, and full of life. The trunk bears empowering messages like “Brave and courageous” and “Captain of her own soul,” while the bottle itself is adorned with a hand-embroidered bow from an Indian workshop, bearing the words “Aime la vie” (Love life).
The story behind Miss Dior is equally powerful. The perfume is named after Catherine Dior, sister of Christian Dior, a resistance fighter during World War II. Captured by the Gestapo, she was sent to the Ravensbrück concentration camp. After the war, she grew roses and jasmine in Provence — the very ingredients used in the first Miss Dior fragrance. This piece is not just perfume; it’s a bold fusion of Dior’s luxury and profound feminist symbolism — a true artwork celebrating strong and courageous women.
