The prime minister expressed delight that five Thai beaches were named among the Top 100 Beaches on World by the worldbeachguide.com website.
Koh Kradan in Trang province was among the world’s greatest 100 beaches. Railay Beach in Krabi is ranked ninth, Freedom Beach in Phuket is ranked 18th, and Laem Had Beach in Phang-Koh nga’s Yao Yai is ranked 21st. Ao Tanote on Surat Thani’s Koh Tao was ranked 44th.
According to the website, Thailand is well-known for its stunning beaches. It was stated that Koh Kradan is a pristine gem that may be reached without going too far off the beaten path. The island, which is part of the Hat Chao Mai national park, is only a couple of hours south of Phuket and close to Phi Phi Island. According to the website, Koh Kradan is “a world apart” from the adjacent locations since it has all of the natural beauty of the two but none of the tourists or noise.
Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha hailed the rating, which he said demonstrated the appeal of Thai maritime tourism destinations among foreign tourists and also represented tourists’ trust in these places. He thanked tourism-related agencies in the public and commercial sectors for increasing tourist popularity and supporting tourist-friendly events. He stated that this allowed each province to present its style, activities, food, traditions, and culture, all of which contributed to Thailand’s tourism.
This year, the Tourism Administration of Thailand is marketing Thai tourism under the theme Visit Thailand Year 2023: Incredible New Chapters. The emphasis is on providing travellers with significant experiences that will last a lifetime.
