Flights resume at Chiang Rai Airport

Mae Fah Luang Chiang Rai International Airport is scheduled to operate four inbound and four outbound flights on Friday. However, passengers are urged to allow up to five hours to reach the terminal due to severe flooding.

The airport has announced that Thai Airways International, Nok Air, Thai Lion Air, and Thai AirAsia will provide a total of four flights from Bangkok to the northern border province, along with four return flights.

Thai VietJet has yet to confirm its operations for Friday.

Travelers are encouraged to check with their respective airlines for the latest flight information.

On Thursday, all airlines canceled flights to Chiang Rai because of flooded roads, leaving passengers stranded at the airport, which remained operational.

The airport recommends against using small vehicles to reach the terminal due to high water levels and limited transportation options.
