“I’m Going to Die!’: Brit’s Phuket Airport Outburst Uncovers Cocaine Stash

Phuket International Airport witnessed a bizarre scene on February 18 when a British tourist erupted into a frantic outburst—rolling on the floor, kicking in the air, and screaming that he was going to die.

The man, later identified as 29-year-old Jamie Louis Swain from Enfield, North London, had just arrived from Shanghai on Juneyao Air flight HO 1323 when his dramatic episode caught the attention of immigration officers.

In the midst of his meltdown, a small bag containing 4.11 grams of cocaine allegedly tumbled from his pocket, scattering a trail of white powder across the airport floor.

Authorities quickly stepped in, and Police Major Akkarapon Akkraphon, an immigration checkpoint inspector, confirmed that the substance was cocaine—a Category 2 narcotic under Thai law. Swain was promptly arrested and charged with illegal possession and importing narcotics into the country, a serious offense that could land him behind bars for life.

He has since been transferred to Sakhu Police Station, where he awaits his court hearing.
