Thai cyber police have issued a warning to the public about 22 hazardous websites, cautioning that clicking on them could lead to personal information theft.
Scammers frequently develop counterfeit websites promoting investment schemes or job opportunities designed to tempt individuals into sharing their personal information. Pol Lt Gen Trairong Phiwphan, head of the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB), emphasized this concern.
Some of these fraudulent sites use names that closely resemble genuine businesses and organizations. Victims of these websites may face significant risks regarding the security of their personal information, as noted by the CCIB chief on the bureau’s Facebook page.
