Indian National Found Dead in Bangkok Townhouse

Bangkok – A 38-year-old Indian national was discovered dead in his rented townhouse in Thon Buri district, Bangkok, on March 19. The man, identified as Taran, had been living in the property for approximately two months. His relatives had lost contact with him, prompting the house owner to request a welfare check.

At 2 pm on March 19, Police Lieutenant Satha Duang-Iad, Deputy Inspector at Samre Police Station, responded to the report of a death at a townhouse near Wat Santithanmaram. Officials from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation, along with an on-duty doctor and forensic officers, were called to the scene.

Details of the Incident

The townhouse where the incident occurred was two stories high. Upon entering the home, authorities found Taran lying on his back on a bed, turned slightly to the right. He was shirtless and wearing black shorts. A plastic bag was found covering his head, with a helium tank beside him.

The housekeeper, who had worked at the property for two years, was contacted by the property owner after relatives failed to reach Taran. She rang the doorbell several times but received no response. Observing that the air conditioning was off and no shoes were outside, she assumed the tenant was not home. After using a spare key to enter the residence, she went upstairs and discovered Taran’s body in the bedroom, then immediately notified the police.

Ongoing Investigation

Authorities are still investigating the cause of death and have sent the body for an autopsy. The police are working to contact the deceased’s relatives to arrange for the body’s return for religious rites.

In a separate case, a 29-year-old man was found dead in an abandoned cattle pen in Chachoengsao province, leaving behind his wife and three children.
