K-Mile Asia (8K, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) has received its first B767-300ER(BCF), marking its inaugural widebody freighter and the first of its kind in Thailand.
The aircraft, registered as HS-KSA (msn 33421), arrived at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi on September 6, 2024, after a non-stop ferry flight from Guangzhou.
Powered by Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines, HS-KSA is a 22-year-old aircraft that was initially delivered to Hawaiian Airlines (HA, Honolulu). After being converted into a freighter in 2023, it was operated by China’s SF Airlines (O3, Shenzhen).
This new addition will enhance K-Mile’s existing fleet, which includes one B737-400(BDSF), two B737-400(SF)s, and two B737-800(BCF)s, with plans for it to enter service in October 2024. The B767 will be utilized for K-Mile routes throughout Thailand, Southeast Asia, China, and India.
Additionally, a second B767, HS-KSB (msn 33422), is currently undergoing maintenance in Guangzhou and is expected to be delivered to K-Mile Asia soon.
K-Mile is a joint venture, 55% owned by Thai investors and 45% owned by ASL Aviation Holdings from Europe. HS-KSA also represents the first B767 for ASL’s holdings.
