Krungthai Bank Reveals Quick Way to Spot Fake Transfers
Bangkok, Thailand – Krungthai Bank is warning customers to double-check transfer slips to avoid falling victim to scams. The bank recently shared a simple method to verify payment authenticity using its Krungthai NEXT mobile app.
How to Spot a Fake Transfer Slip
In a Facebook post on March 28, Krungthai Care outlined an easy verification process:
- Open the Krungthai NEXT app.
- Tap ‘Scan’ and point your camera at the QR code on the transfer slip.
- The system will instantly verify key details, including the sender’s name, recipient’s name, amount transferred, and transaction date.
- If any detail doesn’t match, the transfer slip is fake.
Additionally, Krungthai Bank promotes LINE Krungthai Connext, a real-time notification system that alerts users about incoming and outgoing transactions.
“Notify of money in and out and every account movement. The money is in our pockets. Don’t let anyone take it. Press share to prevent anyone from being cheated again.” – Krungthai Bank
With scams involving fake transfer slips on the rise, this quick-check method could help prevent massive losses, especially for small businesses and individual sellers.
