On April 29, a discussion in English sponsored by Nation Group and the National Institute of Development Administration (Nida) will feature prominent Thai prime ministerial candidates outlining their plans.
Leading foreign media outlets will cover the event, which is headlined “PM Candidates Debate in English: Meet PM Candidates & Heads of Strategist Teams,” and it will be streamed live online.

The purpose is to offer updates on election-related party policies and their prospective effects on the global society.
The discussion, which is being billed as the only English-language forum for major parties to outline their plans for Thailand, will also be used to demonstrate the leadership skills of candidates for prime minister.
The event is intended to draw an international, English-speaking audience from both inside and outside of Thailand, including people who are interested in the next general election in Thailand and the changes it will bring, as well as businesses, commerce, investment, and government officials.
As one of Thailand’s top educational institutions, Nida understands how crucial it is to promote political policy communication and governance in order to improve the nation’s reputation abroad.
As a result, it has divided the event into three sessions — Vision, Discussion, and Debate — to give political parties and important figures a stage on which to share their ideas for the growth and prosperity of the nation.
The Democrat Party is represented by PM candidate Jurin Laksanawisit* and Kiat Sittheeamorn; the Pheu Thai Party is represented by PM candidate Srettha Thavisin* and Prommin Lertsuridej; Palang Pracharath is represented by former finance minister Thirachai Phuvanatnaranubala; Chartthaipattana is represented by party leader and acting natural resources and environment minister Varawut Sil
