Nintendo, one of the world’s top two gaming companies, has officially launched their online game store in Thailand, offering digital games at more affordable prices for the Thai market.
This new official digital storefront, known as the eShop, will feature a wider selection of games with Thai language support. Expats living in Thailand with Thai family members will find it more convenient to access and enjoy games. The first major title to include Thai language support is Donkey Kong Bananza.
However, a drawback is that users with Thai credit cards can no longer purchase digital games from other countries’ Nintendo eShops. Nintendo has stated that if the eShop is available in your region, credit cards issued in your country may not work on other regional stores. The only workaround for buying games from different regional stores is to use Nintendo eShop Gift Cards purchased from platforms like Shopee or Lazada.
