The 32 MPs-elect for the Move Forward party in Bangkok, led by party leader Pita Limjaroenrat, met with Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt and his staff to discuss how the future government and the city administration could work together to address all the urgent issues for the benefit of city residents.
PM2.5 dust pollution, the planned relocation of the Khlong Toei port to improve traffic congestion, the city’s traffic signal system, a tax hike on vacant commercial land, and a single ticket system for bus services were among the issues brought up during the conference.
Pita informed the audience that the Move Forward party planned to collaborate easily with the municipal leadership to address outstanding issues and face potential future obstacles.
In the meantime, Governor Chadchart stated that Pita and his incoming Bangkok MPs’ visit to City Hall is a vital first step in the new administration and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s cooperation.
