On Monday, an official warmly greeted passengers arriving at Samui airport on Scoot’s inaugural flight from Singapore. The introduction of a second airline offering regular flights to the island from Singapore has sparked hopes in Samui for an increase in Singaporean holidaymakers.
Scoot’s first flight from Singapore landed at Samui airport with 105 passengers onboard. The Tourism Association of Koh Samui highlighted the positive impact of direct flights from Singapore on tourism in Samui, as well as the nearby islands of Koh Tao and Koh Phangan.
Emphasizing that there is still room for more tourists from additional flights, the association stated that Samui has the capacity to welcome a higher influx of visitors.
Scoot now joins Bangkok Airways as the second airline providing services between Samui and Singapore, further enhancing connectivity and travel options for passengers between the destinations.
