Songkran 2023 comes to a close with a splashdown on Khao San Road.

On Saturday, a large crowd of people gathered to see the final Songkran water fight of the year on Bangkok’s Khao San and Silom roads.

The Metropolitan Police Division 1’s Pol Maj-General Attaporn Wongsiripreeda announced that 500 officers had been stationed on Khao San Road to protect public safety.

“Of them, 350 were uniformed police officers, 100 traffic police, and 50 undercover officers,” he claimed. He stated that in order to combat pickpocketing and robberies, officers were posted in densely populated places.”The Khao San splashing party was allowed to go on until 10pm and restaurants were allowed to stay open until 2am,” he continued.
