A Boeing 777 aircraft operated by Swiss International Air Lines, traveling from Tokyo to Zurich, made an emergency landing in Kazakhstan on Saturday due to a medical situation onboard, followed by challenges after landing, according to the airline.
The nose wheel of the Boeing 777-300ER became stuck in the grass, necessitating a tow back onto the runway, as stated by the airline. The aircraft will be inspected for damage and will be subject to an investigation.
Swiss International Air Lines confirmed that none of the 319 passengers onboard were injured in the incident.
Boeing commented, “We’ll defer to the airline for information regarding their fleet and operations.”
