After a pursuit and confrontation with a couple, three teenagers aged 13 to 14 turned themselves in, following a tragic motorcycle crash into a lamppost that resulted in two fatalities and one injury. The incident took place around 8:00 AM on April 29, 2024, at the Bang Khen Police Station investigation room. Accompanied by their parents, the teenagers surrendered to Pol. Col. Anan Warrasat, the Superintendent of the station, alongside other law enforcement officials.

The teenagers, riding a motorcycle, were engaged in a pursuit while brandishing knives at the couple, ultimately causing the couple’s motorcycle to collide with a lamppost at the intersection of Ramintra Soi 5 and Soi 9, Anusawari, Bang Khen District, Bangkok. According to investigations, the teenagers had a history of harassing the couple on multiple occasions.

One of the teenagers, identified as Mr. C, testified that they encountered the couple at Phaholyothin 48 Intersection around 8:30 PM on April 28, 2024. Mr. C recalled previous altercations with the couple, prompting them to follow the couple into Ramintra Soi 5. Mr. C confessed to carrying a knife and using it to threaten the couple during the confrontation.

Mr. C further explained that upon reaching the intersection of Ramintra Soi 5 and Soi 9, a physical altercation erupted, during which the couple kicked their motorcycle, leading to the collision with the lamppost.

After the incident, Mr. C and his companions returned home to inform their parents before surrendering to the police.

Following a preliminary investigation, all three teenagers were detained for further legal proceedings.
