Thai Airways has made a solid commitment to purchase 45 Boeing 787 jets, with the possibility of expanding the deal to approximately 80 aircraft in response to the increasing demand for international travel, as per industry sources.
The official announcement of this deal is expected later this month, and it has already been noted in Boeing’s published order backlog as a contract for 45 planes with a customer whose identity has not been disclosed, according to the sources.
Boeing has chosen not to provide a comment and has directed inquiries to the airline. At present, the airline has not responded to a request for comment.
