Thai Airways signs for 3 787’s from Air Lease corporation

Thai Airways bangkok one feb 27 2024

Thai Airways is making significant strides in renewing its fleet by signing various lease agreements for new aircraft. Recently, the airline partnered with Air Lease Corporation to lease three Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, set to be delivered in 2025.

This comes shortly after a 45-aircraft order was placed with Boeing earlier. The focus on fleet modernization is evident as Thai Airways expands its long-haul capabilities by adding newer widebody and narrowbody planes to its existing fleet.

The recent collaboration with Air Lease Corporation for the Boeing 787-9s signifies the airline’s commitment to enhancing passenger comfort and operational efficiency. In a separate deal with AerCap, Thai Airways will also be leasing a mix of Airbus and Boeing aircraft, further bolstering its fleet. These strategic partnerships reflect Thai Airways’ dedication to staying at the forefront of industry standards and supporting its long-term goals, including achieving carbon-neutral operations by 2050.
