Thai government income collection in the first half of fiscal 2023 (October to March) exceeded the goal by 8.9%.

According to FPO director-general Pornchai Thiraveja, income collection in the first half of the year totaled 1.163 trillion baht, a 6.9% increase over the same period the previous year.

The following government organizations exceeded their revenue goals this year:

– The Revenue Department, which achieved 915.222 billion, 7.3% more than anticipated thanks to stronger corporate tax receipts as a result of the strengthening economy.

– Other organizations that have received funding from their revolving funds, concession fees from mobile phone providers, and FM radio frequency license auctions.

– A few state-owned businesses also submitted their earnings for the fiscal year 2022, boosting this group’s revenues.

– The Customs Department had 67.322 billion, which was 27.7% more than expected, after receiving excise duties as a result of decisions in cases involving smuggling.

The FPO reported that the duty Department had received 237.64 billion baht in revenue, 15.5% less than the objective, which was attributed to the government’s decision to lower the duty on diesel.
