According to the National Institute of Development Administration (Nida) survey, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and Move Forward Party leader Pita Limjaroenrat were left in the dust by Paetongtarn Shinawatra.
In the northeastern province, officially known as Nakhon Ratchasima, 1,500 eligible voters participated in the survey from January 30 to February 3.
After Bangkok, which has 33 MPs, Korat has the second-highest number of MPs with 16 constituencies. More importantly, the votes cast in Korat typically predict the outcomes of elections in the Northeast.
The Northeast has the most voters and constituencies of any region, therefore the party that wins there typically wins the election.
Paetongtarn is the head of the Pheu Thai’s Family Project and the party’s potential prime ministerial nominee.
More than three times as many people chose her than any other contender (37.2%) in the survey.
Exactly 12.40% of respondents chose pita. Prayut, the United Thai Nation Party’s anticipated nominee for prime minister, performed poorly. Only 11.73% of those surveyed chose him.
9.27% of respondents to the Nida poll were unsure. Each of the six other candidates garnered less than 7% of the vote.
– 6.60%: Seri Ruam Thai Party head Pol Gen Seri Temeeyaves
Khunying Sudarat Keyuraphan, the head of the Thai Sang Thai Party, received 5.67% of the vote.
– 3.47%: Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party and minister of public health
– 2.67%: Chart Pattanakla Party chairman Korn Chatikavanij
Tewan Liptapanlop and Chart Pattanakla secretary-general are down by 2.40%.
– 2.33%: Cholnan Srikaew, the Pheu Thai leader.
According to Nida surveys from the previous year, Paetongtarn was the most widely preferred premier countrywide. She also tops most regional polls. However, a poll of people in the South found Prayut to be more well-liked than she was, while a poll of Bangkok voters found Pita to be the clear favorite.
Voters surveyed in Korat responded as follows when asked which party they will support in elections based on constituencies:
Pheu Thai, at 48.40%
– 13.80%: Advance
United Thai Nation – 8.53%
-7.07%: Uncertain
– 4.73%: Pattanakla chart
4.13 percent: Bhumjaithai
Seri Ruam Thai, 3.20%
2.93 percent: Thai Sang Thai
Democrat (2.47%).

In the party-list voting, Pheu Thai received the most votes from Korat voters. For the party-list vote, the top 10 options were:
Pheu Thai, -47.60%
– 14.000%: Advance
United Thai Nation – 8.67%
