On April 27, the Bright Dhamma Rescue Radio Unit of Pattaya City received a report of an accident involving a six-wheel truck colliding with the rear of a parked ten-wheeler on the side of the road. The incident occurred on the parallel road to Motorway No. 7, heading towards Pattaya, near the Eastern Distribution Center in Nong Pla Lai Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. Upon receiving the notification, rescue personnel and a team equipped for extrication rushed to the scene to investigate.
At the accident site, they found a six-wheel ice truck with severe damage to its front. Inside the truck, Mr. Thanawut, aged 28, was trapped in the cabin after colliding with the rear of the ten-wheeler. He was pinned against the windshield and required urgent medical attention. Rescue personnel used extrication equipment to free him from the truck cabin before providing initial medical aid and promptly transferring him to the hospital.
Mr. Thanawut, the driver of the six-wheel ice truck, sustained leg injuries. He explained that he was transporting ice from Sri Racha District to Pattaya but started feeling drowsy. Before he knew it, he had collided with the rear of the parked ten-wheeler.
Regarding Mr. Anuwat, aged 27, the driver of the ten-wheeler, he revealed that he had stopped to urinate by the roadside and was returning to his truck when the accident occurred. At that moment, the six-wheel truck crashed into the rear of his parked vehicle. Upon inspection, he found injured individuals unable to exit the truck, prompting him to quickly notify rescue personnel for assistance.
