The PM very unhappy with the long queue’s at the airport

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin continues to express dissatisfaction with the long queues and delays faced by passengers at Suvarnabhumi International Airport’s immigration control. He recently made a surprise visit to the airport for the second time to address the ongoing issues.

During his visit, Mr. Srettha observed that passengers were experiencing significant wait times for essential services. He emphasized the need for officials to streamline the processes and reduce the waiting times for travelers.

In a statement shared on social media, the prime minister highlighted the importance of improving efficiency and service quality at the airport. He stressed the need for collaboration between authorities at Airports of Thailand (AoT) and immigration departments to identify and resolve existing problems.

Mr. Srettha emphasized the goal of establishing Thailand as a key aviation hub in the region, especially with the country’s recent reopening to foreign tourists. He urged officials to focus on providing exceptional service to visitors and ensuring a seamless travel experience.

The prime minister also discussed upcoming plans for airport upgrades, including the construction of a new runway at Suvarnabhumi airport. The AoT is set to invest in the expansion of Suvarnabhumi airport and Don Mueang International Airport to enhance service quality and increase passenger capacity.

Furthermore, AoT president Kerati Kijmanawat highlighted ongoing efforts to improve service and security standards at Suvarnabhumi airport. The expansion projects aim to accommodate the growing number of passengers while enhancing the overall airport experience.

In conclusion, the government and airport authorities are committed to implementing necessary upgrades and improvements to ensure a smooth and efficient travel experience for passengers visiting Thailand’s major airports.
