According to a report on Rama 199 radio station, the truck overturned and caught fire at 11.30am, causing the disaster.
Rescuers and firefighters reported that gas cylinders had also rolled into the road.
The station reported that it took some time to put out the fire.
Rescuers were also able to reach a bystander who was hurt by the fire in time. He’s been taken to the hospital to receive care.
Highway police were rerouting traffic as of the time of publication to lessen the effect on drivers.
