TTB Debt Assistance Reaches B40 Billion This YearTTB Debt Assistance Reaches B40 Billion This Year

TMB Thanachart Bank (ttb) provided a total of 40 billion baht in debt assistance this year, helping over 81,000 customers through various relief programs. Since January, ttb supported borrowers via the Bank of Thailand’s “You Fight, We Help” scheme and its own “Good Pay, Get Reward” program.

Under “You Fight, We Help,” the bank assisted 71,000 accounts with 37 billion baht in credit, saving customers around 800 million baht in interest. Auto loans made up the largest share, with 57,000 accounts and 17 billion baht in credit, saving 500 million baht in interest. Mortgage loans involved 14,000 accounts, with a 20 billion baht credit line and 300 million baht in interest savings.

The second phase of the program ran from July to September, focusing on aiding vulnerable retail and SME borrowers. Meanwhile, the “Good Pay, Get Reward” scheme, active from April to August, restructured debts for 10,000 retail accounts, saving 217 million baht in interest through rewards and privileges for customers with strong repayment records.

While some objectives were not fully met—such as refinancing issues—the bank views 2023 as a year of strong customer support and plans to continue assisting customers in 2024. Debt relief and financial literacy initiatives have proven effective in improving customers’ financial well-being.
